Details
Most 4-channel amplifiers give up at 2 Ohm. The Apocalypse ATOM-400.4 PRO keeps going all the way down to 1 Ohm.
That one difference changes what you can build. The ATOM 400.4 PRO puts out 4 x 400 watts RMS at 1 Ohm, or 2 x 800 watts bridged, from a compact chassis that fits where bigger amps won't. It is made for multi-speaker door builds, midrange and tweeter arrays and SPL setups that need to run several speakers per channel, with sound quality built to rival Class AB amps and the efficiency to do it in a small footprint.

What 1 Ohm Stability Lets You Wire
With a standard 2 Ohm stable amp, you are limited to two 4 Ohm speakers per channel. The ATOM PRO removes that ceiling. Wire three 4 Ohm speakers in parallel on a single channel for a 1.33 Ohm load, or run four for a 1 Ohm load, and the amp stays stable while delivering full power. For SPL walls and big door builds, that means fewer amplifiers, simpler wiring and more speakers on every channel.
Tuning and Installation Highlights
- Wide-range crossovers: High pass from 20 to 12,000 Hz and low pass from 45 to 12,000 Hz at 12 dB/octave, so you can run midranges, tweeters or even a small subwoofer channel.
- Works with factory radios: High level inputs accept 1.7 to 11V, so you can connect directly to OEM speaker wires without a line output converter.
- Flexible RCA input: 0.2 to 6V input sensitivity matches almost any aftermarket head unit or DSP.
- High-current terminals: 4 AWG power input and 10 AWG speaker outputs for solid, low-resistance connections.
- Clean output: 80 dB signal-to-noise ratio and a damping factor of 102 for tight, controlled sound.
Before You Buy
Is the ATOM-400.4 PRO really 400 watts per channel?
Yes, at a 1 Ohm load. At 2 Ohm it makes 4 x 310W RMS and at 4 Ohm it makes 4 x 200W RMS. Check the power table above to match the output to your speaker wiring.
Does this amp have a built-in fuse?
No. The ATOM PRO has no onboard fuse, so you need an inline fuse on the power wire close to the battery. Size the fuse to your power wire and the amp's current draw.
Can I bridge the Apocalypse 400.4 to a subwoofer?
Yes. Bridged, it delivers 2 x 800W RMS at 2 Ohm or 2 x 620W RMS at 4 Ohm. The low pass filter goes down to 45 Hz, which suits a small subwoofer setup, but a dedicated monoblock is the better choice for a large bass system.
Will it work with my factory head unit?
Yes. The high level inputs accept 1.7 to 11V, so you can wire the amp directly to your factory speaker outputs.
